ECLIPSE AWNINGS CARRYING
SUNBRELLA® FABRICS INCLUDE PRESTIGIOUS SKIN CANCER FOUNDATION “SEAL OF RECOMMENDATION”

Eclipse Awning Systems® is proud to carry the prestigious Skin Cancer Foundation “Seal of Recommendation” on its products utilizing Sunbrella® fabrics.

Sunbrella was awarded this honor for its awning and furniture fabrics by The Skin Cancer Foundation, an international organization dedicated to the prevention of skin cancer.  The Seal signifies that Sunbrella fabrics have passed the Foundation's rigorous testing criteria and offer significant levels of sun protection.  This seal has been awarded to just 310 products in the U. S.

“We’re proud to use Sunbrella fabrics on our products,” said John Dearden, Managing Partner of Eclipse Awning Systems.  “This Seal of Recommendation is a critical endorsement, as consumers are not just looking for comfort when purchasing a retractable awning, but safety from the sun,
as well.”

According to The Skin Cancer Foundation, more than 1 million people will be diagnosed with skin cancer this year.  The incidence of melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, is rising faster than that of any other cancer.  One in five Americans will get skin cancer in the course of a lifetime, and someone dies every hour from skin cancer, primarily melanoma. By 2010, melanoma is projected to rise to one in 50 Americans.
